About
The piece is made by copying the soap piece in a sandcast, which makes the pieces exact copies of each other; a set like this can only exist once. The work was exhibited with instructions for picking up both bars of soap simultaneously; the significant difference in weight places the viewer's body in a somewhat uncomfortable position.

Elisa Verkoelen questions an everyday object: by copying a bar of soap in copper, she exposes a relationship between everyday transience.
