About‘Left hand letters’ is a series of letters written with the artist’ non-dominant left hand in response to her grandmother, who became partially paralyzed following a stroke. Because her grandmother was forced to write exclusively with her left hand, the artist adopted the same physical restriction. These letters serve as a research into the relationship between body and language, exploring how a shift in content can follow from a physical limitation.
