AboutSeven transitions, sawn from copper, rotate in circular motions around each other. They depict the time passing in the former Alckros factory, an empty building on the border of the city of Roermond. The copper frames are based on the shifting phases of the shadows cast inside the building throughout the day.InformationThis work is part of ‘Stadsgezicht’, a project where five local artists engage with the city of Roermond. Drawing from their individual artistic practices, each artist approached a specific location. The Stadsgezicht publication documents the research by the artists and is designed as a poster-newspaper featuring five posters, inviting the residents of Roermond to see the city from a new perspective. ‘Stadsgezicht’ is a project by Elisa Verkoelen, supported by Maakplaats and the Municipality of Roermond. The graphic design of the logo, posters, and newspaper was created by Studio Mayra and Sam. The participating artists are Puck Füsers, Tobias Hovens, Floor Martens, Elisa Verkoelen, and Octavie Wolters.
